The pyramid game

The PokerPlayersPlace forum (link over there on the right somewhere) has an interesting thing going: Pyramid games.

The idea is that a group of ten players pools their resources to play games with a bigger buy-in than the ones they usually play. Over ten weeks, each player gets one game and winnings are shared.

This season I joined a Pyramid for the first time. I went for the smallest (Bronze) level in which I get to play one $22 game on Pokerstars. Usually I play games in the $3.30 to $5.50 range, so this is a step up for me.

I’ve got a few pre-Christmas days off work this week and, as luck would have it, this is my Pyramid week!

So Christmas can wait a bit, I’m playing in tournament #832612956 starting at 6pm tonight.

I’ll let you know how it went…

It all went pretty well in the end. I played ok but no luck and I didn’t cash in my game, but then neither did anybody else so I don’t really feel I let the side down.
